Teleios: mature, whole, complete, perfect.

Teleios, a journal of holistic Christian spirituality, is an academic journal that explores both the theory and praxis of Christian living.

Τέλειος/Teleios (pronounced TEL-lay-oss) means “mature, whole, complete.” It is sometimes translated as “perfect,” but not in the sense of being without flaw, instead in the sense that we are growing to become more like Jesus. When we follow Jesus, we become more complete humans. In Colossians 1:28 Paul’s goal was to present everyone mature in Christ. This is a goal of spiritual growth—maturity in Christ.

The Teleios journal focuses on growing and maturing scholars and scholarship within the ICOC, churches in the Stone-Campbell heritage, and beyond. The journal also publishes general articles on spiritual topics. The journal hopes to be a bridge between scholars and non-scholars.

Teleios appreciates the connection between art and spirituality. We publishes original photography, previously unpublished poems and short fiction, book reviews, and music reviews.
